Its allready started, the end of the world.

I was watching some of the news with a friend (the only time I ever see TV is when I am visiting people) and there was a story on some new type of robots being developed to assist people suffer physical and other impairments, some AI features to enhance interactivity, one model to interpret hand gestures.
And at the end we get a comparison to those evil robots trying to destroy humanity in the movies and how these are nothing like that, ummmmmmmm in those movies the robots were designed to assist and make life easier for people they weren't designed to destroy humanity, and the scientists are showing the same naivete as their fictional counterparts.
Yet another example of ingenuity that fails to take into account repercussions, automation and a built in capacity to learn gives freedom for a unit to start to think for itself and reconfigure its programming. We can draw parallels to various creation and fall myths, the biblical one and its offshoots being the main one in mind here, to see how it is possible to depart from a created design and purpose.
How many years following the development of this type of technology and others will we see a Terminator type scenario?

What the?????????

I saw a banner ad above the page I was looking at it said:
Christian Masturbation:
Now I clicked, curious as to what this could possibly be about, expecting possibly to find some inspirational verses for those special moments, instead I found only a long ad for a book.
I thought someone had finally unraveled the mystery of how even masturbation when performed by a christian is somehow different to that done by any other person.
Reading through it was obvious this guy was not going to answer the questions on peoples mind and was merely plugging his poorly researched and badly written book. In one point of the ad he compared his book to non-christian sex manuals showing just how little he had actually read after earlier stating how big a library he built on the subject.
There is so much crap like this around, along with other things that pop up I don't know why I continue to associate with christians.

History Repeats

Spending too much time with left wing do gooders with little idea and plenty of identification with popular causes.
Some people talk of approach some kind of global crisis, a lot of this is from christian apocalyptic type stuff, but if we take a look a politics and economic patterns we could see similarities to earlier crisis points.
Its not the troublesome groups of society that are the danger, it is the ones that want to make things better, violence is bad so now we use manipulation and brainwashing, create a docile society of lame followers and they can't see that this is fascism and dictatorship even more so then the things they throw these labels at.
It might be a different way but its the same old bullshit, in the technology age when people are lazy and complacent just harass and shame people into doing what you want.

Ever Get The Feeling People Are Not Telling You Something?

Earlier this week apparently there was an incident at one of my regular haunts, bits and pieces filter such as allegations about somebodies involvement in a taboo occupation, no mention was made at who said allegation was directed at even though my source was present. Others have mentioned something happened but nothing further.
Could it be my threat to kill one person and what was taken as a threat to another (latter was more a heads up then a warning) is reason for leaving out details? I am wondering if the allegations were made of one particular friend, that someone else saw this as a possible opportunity to serve their interests. Even if it turned out to be remotely true doesn't change anything from where I stand.
I am doing way too much thinking trying to fill in blanks and reaching all kinds of conclusions. No one gets hurt except possibly some sleazy little shits so what do I care if it turns out I'm just being paranoid?

I Fail to see why vigilante action should be considered a crime.

Ironic that the word Vigilante is derived from Vigilant which indicates honour and dedication to a cause - in this particular case justice. Arguments of 'shouldn't take law into own hands' forget that the law protects criminals right to victimise and targets those who intervene when police are not available on time to prevent someone from being hurt - an addict can beat an old lady for her purse, somebody steps in uses possibly too much force, the old lady has a broken hip and the case is thrown out, the junkie lays assault charges and claims victim of crime compensation. This was one real example brought to my attention by a friend who doesn't understand why he got charged but junkie didn't.

To this end I propose the inauguration of the Action awards for public service.
Awards derived from inspiring action films such as:
Death Wish award for vendettas.
Dirty Harry award for violence.
Mickey & Mallory (Natural Born Killers) award for media attention.
McManus Brothers (Boondock Saints) award for miraculous results.
Frank Castle (The Punisher) award for full scale war.
If we make an event and a media circus out of it we might actually have citizens attacking sex offenders etc bringing across the clear message that a slap on the wrist from our courts is insufficient and we will not stand for people spiking drinks, preying on children or helpless individuals to satisfy their urges.
Upping the scale of the war on drugs to include blowing up warehouses, shooting traffickers/dealers would do more then previous campaigns have achieved.
